This trunk was made by C.A Taylor of Chicago in 1885. It is a very rare trunk made of Basswood and Maple. The metal is cast iron and very ornate. It has been finished totally by hand using 5 coats of tung oil and several coats of paste wax. The black paint is original as well as the tray inside. Over 125 hours of labor has gone into restoring this trunk. This same trunk was often used by magicians, musicians and Vaudville acts. It is known as being virtually indestructable because of the cast iron frame. Serious inquiries only! 770-344-8312 or email jstaylorga@gmail.com. Located in Villa Rica.
