Painting and frame are in very good condition. The dark wood frame has a couple of minor blemeshes that are not noticable when hanging. I'm no wood expert so I will say i think the frame is made of cherry wood. I paid over 300.00 for it so it's definately not cheap. Just don't wany it anymore.
