All real estate advertised on ajcexchange is subject to the Federal Fair Housing Act (FFHA) which makes it illegal to advertise "any preference, limitation, or discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin, or intention to make any such preference, limitation or discrimination."

Unacceptable words/phrases include but are not limited to:

• Preferences by age, gender, race or other protected groups.
• Limits on number of occupants.
• References to race or religion.
• Directions to real estate that could imply discrimination, such as country clubs, religious institutions and other landmarks.
• Catch words such as restricted, exclusive, private, integrated, traditional, board approval or membership approval
• Photos that use models to imply preference by race, sex or other protected groups

In general, you should describe the property, not the person(s).

We reserve the right to remove any ad that does not comply with FFHA guidelines.
