A variety of activities are planned for the Annual Lithonia Fall Music Festival. The event will take place Saturday, October 31st on Main Street in downtown Lithonia. The combination of live music, an interactive kid’s zone, educational presentations, live boxing, car and bike shows, a parade, quality vendors, and celebrity appearances will make this one of Lithonia’s most memorable outdoor celebrations. The organizers are inviting DeKalb County residents and all of metropolitan Atlanta to experience all that the “granite city” has to offer. The central idea behind the festival is to bring people back to downtown Lithonia to celebrate the rich culture the area has to offer. The festival is free and open to the public.

The day will kick off with a parade featuring various community groups leading a trail to the festival site. The music starts at 12:00 noon on two separate stages outdoors and one stage inside at Bourbon Street on Main. The car and bike shows will feature custom automobiles and motorcycles presented by area clubs. The kid’s zone will offer games, storytelling, animated characters, food, and more. The vendors will present a variety of food items, arts, crafts, and some surprises. Area schools and organizations will be well represented throughout. There will be containers to receive canned goods donated to Lithonia’s annual food campaign. The organizers’ hope is to bring together community members for a day of family fun while developing the business and cultural potential of the city of Lithonia.
