• Yes, ajcexchange.com is replacing ajcclassifieds.com.
• All ads currently in ajcclassifieds.com will be merged into ajcexchange.com.
• Any ads placed in the newspaper classified section will also appear on ajcexchange.com.

Does this replace the other AJC online classifieds sites?

• No, ajccars.com, ajchomefinder.com, and ajcjobs.com will remain the premier sites for buying and selling cars, homes and finding jobs.
• Any ad placed in the homes or cars category on ajcexchange.com will also appear on ajchomefinder.com and ajccars.com respectively

Are jobs included on ajcexchange?

• No, jobs are not included on ajcexchange. Jobs continue to appear on ajcjobs.com.

How much does it cost to post an ad online? In the paper?

• Posting an ad or event on ajcexchange.com is free for all users.
• Print rates vary. Please visit our ad placement page and view the "Extend Your Reach" section or call 404-577-5772.

Why should I post my ad here?

• We believe that customer care is important. You can reach us at 404-526-5763 with questions about your ad.
• ajcexchange makes it easy and safe to post your ad. Your ad will go up immediately, and we review every ad.

Should I post my ad in multiple counties?

• We intentionally do not allow posting in multiple locations. Please post your ad in the county that is closest to where you and/or the item is located.

What if I already posted an ad online or in the paper?

• Most ads posted on AJC classifieds or printed in the paper will receive free distribution in ajcexchange.com.
• The exceptions are auctions (which have additional legal requirements) and jobs.

Will News or Advertising deadlines change?

• News, Classified and Display Advertising deadlines for the newspaper will remain the same.
• There are no deadlines for ajcexchange.com ads. Ads posted via ajcexchange will appear on the web site immediately.

How do I place a free ad on ajcexchange.com?

• From the homepage, click on the “Post Free Ad” button. You will need to sign up for a free account to create your ad.

Why can’t I search online for jobs on ajcexchange.com?

• Job listings that run in the paper or on ajcjobs.com are distributed on ajcjobs.com, through our partnership with Yahoo! HotJobs.

Can I upload photos of my item for sale?

• Yes, you can upload up to 5 photos with your listing.

When will my ad appear online?

• Your ajcexchange ad will appear online immediately.
• Ads will be reviewed by the ajcexchange.com staff, and may be pulled down if found to be invalid.

How can I edit my ad on ajcexchange.com?

• Login to your ajcexchange account and click on “My Ads”
• Click on the “edit” link to the right of your listing.
• Paid ads placed in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, ajchomefinder, or ajccars can be edited via those product channels or by calling the Classifieds Department at 404-526-5763.

When will my edits appear on ajcexchange.com?

• Edits to your ad placed via ajcexchange.com will appear on the ad immediately.
• Edits to paid ads placed in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, ajchomefinder, ajccars, or ajcjobs will appear online within 24 hours.

How can I delete my ad on ajcexchange.com?

• Login into your account and click on “My Ads”.
• Click on the “Cancel this Listing” button to the right of your listing.
• Paid ads placed in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, ajchomefinder.com, ajccars.com or ajcjobs.com can be deleted via those product channels or by calling the Classifieds Department.

How long will my ad remain live on ajcexchange.com?

• Ads will remain on the web site for 45 days, unless they are canceled.
  Except for Garage Sale ads which run until the day after the event.

How can I promote my ajcexchange.com listings?

• Post your ad to your Facebook profile, list it on Digg and Delicious. We make this easy for you by providing a “Share this Listing” button on every ad.

I found a really cool listing. Can I share it with my friends?

• Yes, you can! Click on the “Share this Listing” button on the ad page, and you can share it with your friends on Facebook, Digg, or other social networking sites.

How can I post my event onto ajcexchange.com?

• Click on the Post Free Ad button and select Events.
• You will have to login to post your event listing.

How do I contact a seller of an item on ajcexchange.com?

• Click on the Contact Seller button on any ajcexchange.com posting.

Will I be contacted by unqualified respondents?

• While only you can fully protect yourself from scammers, ajcexchange.com has implemented several features to help protect buyers and sellers.
• The ajcexchange.com staff reviews every ad to identify potentially fraudulent postings.
• Seller email addresses are not directly posted onto the site, protecting sellers from giving out their contact information until they choose to do so.
• The best thing you can do to ensure a safe buying and selling experience is to deal with local users. ajcexchange is focused on Atlanta-area buyers and sellers.

My ad didn’t post immediately. Why?

• In an effort to prevent fraudulent and duplicate ads from appearing on the site, ads are rated when they are posted, and some suspect ads are held back for further review. Your ad will post as soon as the ajcexchange.com team approves the ad. Typically, this is within a few hours, but may be as many as 12-24 hours based on staffing. Your ad will still remain on the site for the full 45 days, starting with when the ad is approved. Thank you for your patience, as we try to create a safe environment for buyers and sellers with the highest quality ads possible.

How can I prevent my ads from being held for review?

• We do not share every detail that goes into the automatic rating (if we did, the bad guys would try to get around the system!). One thing you can do is to refrain from posting extreme numbers of duplicate ads. If you want to renew your ad regularly, take the time to expire your older ads first.
