The Mirror has a 1 inch bevel and 3 inch wooden frame. The framed expanse of shells is 4 + inches. The entire back of the mirror is completely covered with 1/2 inch of hardwood. The front and back are bolted together. The heavy duty cable hanging mechanism is bolted through both the front and back pieces of wood. The mirror is ready to hang. It is built to last.
